Rural Redundant Buildings Grant

The Redundant Rural Building Grant programme is designed to award grants of up to 25% of eligible costs to help transform derelict rural buildings into economic use.  The maximum grant is £50,000 and is subject to the necessary planning permissions being in place.

Lincolnshire Enterprise has contributed:

2006/2007  - £150,000

2007/2008  - £200,000

2008/2009  - £200,000

towards the success of the scheme.

Project aims:

  • To support the conversion of redundant rural buildings
  • Premises for start up businesses
  • New catering facilities
  • New retail stores and farm shops
  • New tourism and leisure amenities

"Support from the grant meant that we were able to convert a derelict Listed building in the heart of Louth’s conservation area into luxury holiday accommodation. The building is now an asset to Louth’s economy rather than being an eyesore."
