The Water Taxi service has really put Spalding and South Holland on the map and provides the 2 million visitors to Springfields with a more relaxing, interesting way to visit the other attractions along the waterfront.
Spalding Water Taxi
The Spalding Water Taxi service acts as an interconnection between riverfront tourist attractions and has created a climate for investment within the retail, leisure and recreational development sectors to improve the local economy.The taxi service seeks to maximise opportunities and increase visitor numbers to the area.
Project aims:
- To provide a water taxi service comprising 4 boats completing 6 round trips a day
- To increase the number of tourists to Spalding
- To realise the potential of using the River Welland as a transport link
